The Secretary of State has made a decision regarding the Leavesley appeal, and we’re very pleased to announce that it has been DISMISSED.
In a letter copied to Cholsey Parish Council, the Secretary of State has refused planning permission for the development proposed by Leavesley on Land off Papist Way (Ref. P21/S1503/O) and has upheld our Neighbourhood Plan.
This positive outcome wouldn’t have been possible without the support and dedication of everyone involved. We want to extend our thanks to:
- Our amazing residents who joined the campaign
- The ‘Rule 6’ team representing the Parish Council during the appeal process
- The Neighbourhood Plan team who have worked so hard to keep our Plan up to date
- SODC Planning who originally rejected the application and defended their decision during the appeal
Together, we made our voices heard – through written objections, petitions, postcards, protests, websites, posters, press coverage, and expert representations at the appeal inquiry.
Thank you to all involved!
